From a design point of view, I would put your two columns inside a fixed with div centered in the page. On my 1920x1080 monitor, there's a huge pile of whitespace between the two. I would replace all the detail with how it works with some a

Very nice plugin for photoshop! I don't have a lot of experience with this, but anecdotally I've had better experiences using git with bunches of binary files than SVN. Maybe it had something to do with the structure of the binaries, but I

Ideas are cheap as well - properly implementing one good idea is better than the joy of exploring 500 great ones that are just out of feasibility.

The more I work with js the more I like it. This project is a great idea, if it can be maintained. I'm fairly interested in figuring something to contribute myself.

Thanks for the comments and the interesting article. I can see your point about how traversing the structure can result in the same cycle detection issue. I'm actually very interested in algorithms, but lately I try to do everything I can t

Space complexity is the issue for only a subset of problems, those with extremely large input sets. I think those cases are the exception rather than the rule. I certainly agree that special techniques are required with gigantic or streamin

not necessarily : here's a file or chunk of memory that's 10MB in size representing a list, is there a cycle? that's a different problem than an infinite sequence of integers.

Certainly an interesting discussion of some algorithms here, however... "In fact the number of checks grows quadratically with the length of your list" No, no this is not necessarily true at all? If you are talking about an interview-style

It's not something you have to play. Some of the dominant behaviors such as disinterest etc. are a result of your current state - I'm preoccupied with an important problem and not interested in other people, for example. Mirroring also happ

I focused on algorithms in grad school and I've had some kind of programming job for (fuck) 12 years now, so I guess I'm nearly in programming puberty. I believe algorithms touches on something fundamental and provides a foundation that can

Inconsistency is not even that important as long as the code can be run through a prettifier. I'd rather not waste time caring about any of this.

It's a bit long, I read one of the supposedly accurate summaries... I'm OK with that idea, my main comment was on the title - doesn't exactly debunk the model, just some supplement regarding a "fullness factor" nothing new there imho.

the point of paying attention to fiber is that if you get your daily needs in fiber, you'll have eaten so many vegetables that your tastes regarding carbs will change. Your belly will also be full, which cuts down on the feeling of hunger.

First, make sure your own responsibilities are under control so you don't become a drain on society. Next, volunteer your time - maybe as part of an open source project, something you think is valuable.
