I'm creating a language learning app [0] and I've come up with it using frustration. When I was in Germany, I wanted to turn my highschool German into something usable, but no apps or techniques worked for me. And I've tried

Yes! I've seen multiple products that were only in English, translations were a super annoying productivity blocker (build step required), tens of unused string keys, keys not matching the it's content etc. Please don't local

Working on a language learning app, with spaced-repetition, sentences, audio and an image generated for literally every word in a language. https://vocabuo.com

Is there a good benchmark comparing multilingual and/or translation abilities of most recent LLMs? GPT-4o struggles for some tasks in my language learning app.

I feel like these "50% off for the first 50 users!" sales are 99 % scams, all that's missing is "purchase in the next 5 minutes for 80 % off"

I've built an LLM powered Anki clone - https://vocabuo.com . In my language learning journey, I've found that adding each word manually, with audio, image and a sentence example was just too tedious, so in Vocabuo, I ad

I've only had good experience with tailwind, even though I was sceptical at first. The most common brainwashing I've seen in the wild are 1) you have to use clean architecture and 2) you have to make it scalable to millions of use

I'm building a flashcard language learning app, and the Meta ad with the phrase "AI-powered" performs better than all other variations, so depends.

It's sad how a lot of people see this as "a bad way to test job candidates" rather than a "fun way to practice ML skills".

The problem is the woke-nizer is implemented in a lazy way. It will make sure that all the characters are very "diverse", but ignore all other stereotypes. I'm collecting some of the fails here https://drive.google

I've found this quite problematic in my language learning app. For example, I have a sentence "Er überreicht ihm ein Geschenk" (He hands him a gift), then I ask GPT to create an image of that situation and it generates a girl

Love it! I use something similar to remember long numbers. If a code or a pin has let's say 8 digits, I'm unable to remember it the normal way. So I remember the first digit in the inner voice, and the other 4 digits as a picture

I've built a llm powered, srs app as well! https://vocabuo.com There is a generous freemium, or yearly at 30USD/year. The supported languages are English, German and Spanish. If you have any feedback or want a discount

If ChatGPT or llama were trained to subtly invest in Microsoft and Meta stock respectively, expecting this use case, I'd actually respect it. :D

A new app on Google play or AppStore needs ads to have any downloads at all (unless you already have an audience), so each download costs the developer 0.5 - 3 USD.

I think it's because it's not obvious that there is a free trial, so it sounds a bit like "98% of people who bought autopilot are not using".

At my university, one of the homework exercises was implementing A* on real map data. Really gave a perspective on the speed of computers, from what I remember, it was megabytes of map data of the UK, but calculating the best path from Lond

I have the opposite problem... As a solo bootstrapped founder, I feel like it would be extremely useful to create a few videos to promote the product, however getting in front of a camera feels like a nightmare.
