Plenty of games require VC++ redistributable to be installed. I have all of them from 2008 to 2022 installed right now without issue.

Blame Apple for not implementing Vulkan on their GPUs. If they had a fully compliant Vulkan driver I'm sure gaming on Mac would be at parity with Linux very quickly.

Isn't just using other vendors cells an understatement? Tesla and Panasonic jointly develop and manufacturer cells.

I know WoW is aware that's it's running in Wine. There are some setting greyed out in game with a message of not compatible when running in Wine.

I multiplied by 2 instead of 16. That's what makes it bytes.

Depending on clock speed of memory. For LPDDR5-6400 which is pretty common. 3200000000(clock) x 2(DDR) x 2(16-bit channel width) x 4(channels) = 51200000000 bytes/sec or 51.2 GBytes/sec

Something is really off with your calculations. High-end Snapdragon chips are running with at least 64-bit busses, combined with the clock speed advantages LPDDR5 should put it well ahead of any 128-bit DDR3 system. At least 50GB/s. Th

Having to spend $200 per 8GB of RAM and $200 per 256GB of storage like it's still 2012 pretty much destroys any value proposition from Apple.

Have you seen the prices of RAM and SSDs lately? You can get name brand 32gb of DDR5 and a 1 TB NVME drive for a little over $100. Apple is literally charging 1000% markup on these upgrades.

The solution to this is proper support chains and on call schedules. Not to have every engineer on call 24/7. If your application is so mission critical, just expecting someone will always pick up the phone is irresponsible.

Most grocery stores have a "fresh" bread section where they're at least giving it the final bake in the store. Some grocery stores have quite competent bread selection.

Ford still seems unable to produce significant numbers of EVs nearly as efficiently as Tesla can. I suspect pricing of the Cybertruck will be quite a bit lower than the Lightning.

HIP itself is a C++ language that can be utilized directly. It's extremely similar to CUDA. I think the use case AMD desires is the reverse. That software is written in HIP then converted to CUDA to also run on Nvidia GPUs.
