I do not mind these at all. Am I really auch a minority or are people who don‘t like threads just very loud? I like the reading cadence, I like reading in the twitter mobile app and I like the ability to precisely reply to things or expand

I believe you can utilize partial http response streaming that never stops and there is even a way to replace html fragments. I‘m sure i‘ve seen this, but I am having no luck finding anything about it. Edit: here it is https://ne

It certainly does in EU countries. The political will is there. Maybe even too much of it sometimes, meaning that politicians expect antitrust regulators to object to market activity that regulators pretty clearly don‘t consider an issue.

I agree, and I‘ve read the opinion too that it‘s a problem people have with DDG. Yet google doesn’t feel excellent at that. Could it be worth competing with google there? I‘m not gonna say it‘s "easy", but maybe worthwhile and pos

I think the important part is any person can force data onto your device via messages. If that is exploitable, it‘s a huge oroblem. That‘s why people care.

I read this somewhere and it sounds plausible to me: a private police subscription. As-a-service if you will. They would do the same things as police but only for subscribers and with better "customer service". Maybe you could als

I think the government considers semiconductors a key industry to compete with china and I believe that matters. American electric car manufacturers on the other hand are a threat to germany's combustion obsessed car industry. I also t

It‘s not the same thing but I feel like you may get a kick out of the Ming Mecca [0]. It‘s a hardware patchable video game creation system. It‘s a really inspiring concept to me and I hope to play with one someday. [0] https://en

If you are comfortable with javascript instead of python, I think Remotion [0] could get you to something like that pretty quickly. It‘s more data driven motion graphics instead of non-linear video editing, but it looks like that‘s what pir

I don‘t know if the slippery slope goes far enough to be a problem. Effectively, if you‘re in a position to work at GitLab, the netherlands are happy to have you. They could relocate the entire company there and it might not be a problem.

Yeah, that makes sense. If you don‘t feel you will be able to comfortably and effectively do the work, no point in forcing it. I really recommend you give mouse driven full screen zoom a good try. Whatever job you do, it will be a QoL impro

I would second this general idea, but I don‘t know about the Analog 4 specifically? Out of all the analog synths it is the most like a little computer. It‘s awesome but doesn‘t feel like a learning tool. There are a lot of synths that kind

I'm not an expert on this. What's the extent of private APIs this can use that something on the App Store cannot? As I understand it, it's for things that could technically go on the app store, but don't because of apple

I think the reason why graphql is currently winning is tooling. GraphiQL, schema-aware+caching clients for front end frameworks and fragments are all things that could exist for OData or JSON-API or whatnot, but i don‘t think they do. Ember

I think hasura supports this? Or do you mean native postgres users with postgres RLS? The hasura team has explained somewhere why they don‘t want to do this. IIRC it had something to do with caching and/or subscriptions.

Sometimes you would like to return out of a series of hooks calls early or throw to an error boundary. That also leads to conditional calls. Example: you have a {data, error} = fetchData() and then a useEffect(..., [data]) or 3. It would be

I think as long as we are emulating the cloud runtime and services it will not reach it‘s full potential. Developers need to be able to run the real platform, like they can with k8s/k3s.
