For serverless, the move to much lighter runtimes like cloudflare workers or deno deploy seems like an obvious improvement. If you build your entire app on the Cloudflare "Stack" that could mean serious lock in, but it could also

So they have a public representative living in the US and are associated with Harvard University. I don‘t think there‘s much shadowy cybercrime to investigate there. How do you feel about Wikileaks and the prosecution of Julian Assange?

Probably not, there are huge rounds of funding going into these companies in europe right now, like SellerX, Razor Group, Berlin Brands Group etc (and Thrasio in the US). Most if them are focused on amazon FBA which I honestly don‘t underst

I absolutely love it but is it really obvious how the jack connection thing works? I would imagine only to former switchboard operators and modular synthesizer players.

Have you seen the android build system? I mean what the hell is a gradle wrapper. At least js tools are configured in .json or .js files not in a special purpose programming language. I don‘t mean to discuss which system is too complicated

You suggested something OP can invest in that has none of the technical benefits of cryptocurrency. If you think of cryptocurrency primarily as an investment (=speculation) medium with technological window dressing, that makes sense. I too

The worst thing is they have a great wakeup time picker (not a generic time picker) for the "Bedtime/Wake Up" feature. That this feature, a completely separate alarm clock logic, even exists is insane.

For contrast, css can be quite effective. A brute force background black, text white, link yellow has served me very well. For color blindness correction an OS level filter is the way to go.

I feel pretty confident saying that is not a relevant use case. I used to use a hand written user stylesheet for color accessibility and know various people using different tools to get the contrast they need. Named colors are not a factor.

I think the author is arguing for using something like styled-jsx, which is the same as vue SFC styles afaik. That stays fairly manageable and readable as well.

Nymphomaniac was also barely made in a past decade. Lars von Trier is such a troll he could absolutely make it today.

Thank you. A more lightweight model is very appealing to me. I just started a react-native-macos experiment, and it's not as smooth as iOS. The tooling alone on a multi platform, non expo RN app... Does react-nodegui offer straightforw

Yeah, I think the numbers in the article should be good enough for a bunch of music use cases, but remember it used to be like half a second which is obviously unworkable. Well financed developers like ROLI already have instruments on andro

Since you seem to be familiar with both, can you say something about what react-nodegui offers compared to react native? Is it just way simpler to use, like electron? Or does QT offer a more consistent cross platform experience? Or is it mo

No, i didn‘t. I just pointed out that a full download und upload of a ~500 GB library is not a feasable task for many average users. I‘m also not sure you can even download straight to external storage with iOS safari.

I would also like this button, but I would not be surprised if a good chunk of users have an icloud photo library so large that none of their apple devices could fit it in it's (underspeced) storage.
