Oh I would love some more deep dives or presentations by James Hamilton into various aspects of AWS. They combine the high level overview and the deep technical details in a very informative and entertaining way.

I am not sure I understand your question/ comment correctly, could you perhaps be more specific or provide a bit more context? We at OrgPad.com build on a legacy of at least 40 years of research into the human mind. It is important to

Yes, we need all of that at the same time. Having Spotify running or not doesn't really change the equation much. Not having an IDE when you want to show something in development or want to do a quick Hangout over some code is a bummer

For comparison, the whole OrgPad.com server currently uses 8 GB of RAM and 2 vCPUs. Everybody of the developers has 24 GB+ of RAM with all the main ones having 32 GB of RAM. This is because production uses "just" nginx, JVM with t

You know what is impressive? Getting the CSS of any non-trivial app right. /s More on a serious note, for the cost of one of these aircrafts, you can get more than 1/10th of their weight in gold. Either gold or the aircrafts are w

There are some services and sites that run IPv6-only. Some are for testing, sure, like this one: https://www.nebezi.cz/ some are because they are cheaper to run/ easier to setup e.g. some FreeBSD mirrors.

In general, the level of privacy/ anonymity should be pretty similar with IPv4 or IPv6 in the real world. You will be better off at some hacky, local IPv4-only ISP behind a huge "CG"NAT because they may not keep all the recor

In most countries, the ISP is legally obliged to keep records at which point in time has a customer had an address. Usually a court can order an ISP to hand over those records. In other cases, the police, secret service, copyright lawyers e

See my comment in the other thread. Basically, Windows XP / Windows Server 2003 and other OSes of that vintage still probably drive a good portion of industrial machines. For example a new and modern dentist office, with top of the lin

Problem is, the device doesn't have to know, which address is the working one - e.g. which prefix is working on the upstream. It might break connections etc. A solution of course could be to have NAT66 and I really mean address transla

There is some merit to having more IPv4 space e.g. for new players trying to start a business or for IPv6 transition technologies, where you need at least some IPv4 space e.g. for the NAT64 gateway. This should be considered in the applicat

We need a lot more tooling to support EDN everywhere well enough though. If you use Clojure(Script) it is absolutely natural to use EDN everywhere. (We do just that at OrgPad.com which you can see in the OrgPage about Clojure: https:/

Actually, it is not so clear nuclear is the solution in Europe (e.g. France) at this point. You still have to mine lots of uranium ore, because compared to coal, you actually only seek a small fraction of it, where with coal you can burn al
