There are some experiments https://www.doesnotwork.eu/ (here are more details: https://xn--ondej-kcb.caletka.cz/dl/slidy/20180824-SNT2018-E... ) It is good for testing stuff.

There are btw. IPv6 only hosters out there, e.g. https://ungleich.ch/en-us/cms/ but other are offering IPv6-only as a cheaper option. Yes, it is not totally mainstream yet.

Well, have fun guessing 2^64 possibilities. YouTube lists even private videos "secured" using 11 BASE64 characters (66 bits in theory, but they seem to use just 64 bits). You can watch Tom Scott explain it: https://www.

Depends, but really IPv6 and IPv4 seems to be more or less comparable in practice. If you use an app with a login, you are basically screwed anyway. Even on a random website, you can be reliably fingerprinted: https://amiunique.o

Well, it has limits. You can hide 2000 people behind an address but they might have sporadic connection issues, long held connections such as SSH sessions will be very annoying to support [0] or the users will have to resort to frequent kee

Actually, IPv6 addresses cannot be longer than 32 digits. Some practical ones can be rather short, usually just slightly longer than a comparable IPv4 address. Such addresses would be used where remembering/ recognizing the exact IPv4

You should still get an IPv4 address with the VM for free. But you can make sure you support IPv6 anyway for the day, when even the very first IPv4 will cost extra.

The issue would be more or less the same. You'd have to buy new hardware and check all software anyway but would drop many of the benefits of the IPv6 we have. E.g. in enterprise networks, it is very nice you don't have to think a

I am quite sure surveillance isn't any easier (or any harder) with IPv6. Privacy extensions https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4941 randomize the source IP so there are in theory 2^64 possible combinations for each &#

Quite a bit of it should be done by the end of 2023, so about 2 and half years from now. It is ambitious but then much can be done, if they really make IPv6 a priority.

ClojureCLR does support .NET (Core) but there isn't any support by Microsoft and a .NET language really need at least some support by Microsoft, to be viable at all. Clojure work great with JVM, it is very tightly integrated. Similarly

Great points, thank you for sharing your experience. Manual rework of maps seems like something that a good IDE or a small script should be able to automate, that is the point of Clojure being a data structure (EDN) after all - you can do s

Well, Clojure and its dialect ClojureScript (and ClojureCLR, if Microsoft stepped up and did at least something for it) are so close, you really kind of have to consider the first two as a single group in my point of view. Many projects hav
