I was fortunate to see a 25% increase by moving to a remote gig. Lots of office oriented employers already don’t offer enough.

Man, it's almost like you're saying progressive web apps need to be taken more seriously. Sarcasm aside, I have used the Starbucks PWA and it's counterparty mobile app. PWA felt snappier and had better load times. So I don&#x

I mean.. The taskbar seems like a Dock now. The interface seems very Apple Finder-esque now. I feel like they're just aligning with macOS now. Not that I'm complaining, the video and the interface all are sexy.

For the developers here claiming about the severe lack of features (bolding fuzzy search matches, etc.), is this addressable through extending the default element through something like Lit or Stencil? I'm hopeful that my team's d

I shouldn’t laugh at this, but I couldn’t help it. Either way, what an experience to live. Now, if they’d just pay some g’damn taxes.

Color me shocked, this coming from a company that seeks to deplatform web applications as much as possible and box developers into an App Store that greedily takes a 30% cut. Anyone else remember the promise of PWAs on iOS?

Oh no, it’s almost like people started to realize that the entire system was built from bullshit marketing and hype from stupidly executed multi-million dollar sales.

This is why I’m not sad to see Blizzard dying and slow, painful death. Your betrayed your communities and began delivering only what investors wanted. Activision and conforming to today’s shitty standard for game releases ruined you.

I wonder if this is signs of troublesome financial forecasts. They’re pushing a huge focus on digital transformation now and have just hired an ex-Amazon guy to be their new head of design.

Agreed. Austen Allred is notoriously terrible on Twitter, too. Constant snark, immediately blocking people who point out the predatory business model, and shamelessly holding himself up like some gift to could-be coders. Dude’s just a thief

So, "start your own company". Or, trickle down wealth from VCs. To be honest, a lot of people don't WANT to run a business. Business ventures are expensive in terms of time and money. I wish there was a quicker, more passive

I don't think you'll find many of those Amazon warehouse workers on this site. Also, it's not said with malice, so don't reach for a fight. Most of these workers slave for long hours. And then they work another job on to

Most of the folks who vote aren't really the type to sit down and think long-term. $50/month in dues getting them +$2-3k more annually every two years? They won't do the math and see they'd make a net profit of whatever

This is pretty spot-on. I didn't get a lot of face time with stakeholders as an individual on a scrum team until our project manager was fired, and I said "f** it, I'll be the product owner AND scrum master". I basically
