Even funnier to me, there are relics of real people around, it used to be a big thing historically. So there's some saints or whatever where there's 3 or more "arm of X" floating around, multiple heads for the same perso

And sponsorships, and vendors and etc. There's tournaments for _all kinds_ of games that don't require loot-box purchases to compete, it's not exactly an unknown problem.

The discussion is about Fenwick trees.

▲
by

I am not sure that is something worth trying. In practice Fenwick trees are array-encoded, in memory they're just an array you index into. The reason B-trees are used is kind of because you can't do that with a dynamic binary tree

I have this set up with a Flirc device. It listens for IR remote control keys and converts to ~keyboard keys. So the PC wakes up for the same reason a keyboard would wake it up. I can also control the PC that way, for watching movies and su

You're correct, but just for fun's sake: The amperage of static elecricity discharges like this can be quite high, tens of amps is common. So walking across a carpet and getting a shock can easily be tens of amps at thousands of v

Yeah HRV is especially good for that. Mine doesn't really expose HRV very well, I'm guessing because I'm a couple of generations back, so I have to make due. Works pretty well even so though.

It's ~never just the raw output of a sensor. Even your personal camera isn't much like that tbh. It's just a question of how much processing is done, and with an image like this, the answer is: quite a bit.

It is indeed using javascript to do those parts, eg https://github.com/internet-development/www-sacred/blob/4454... . My limited JS and React knowledge says that CSS is the right way to do most of that, or if

Sleeping heart rate is useful because it gives you a good "resting" value. Resting heart rate will tell you if you're getting sick, before you have any real symptoms.

It seems a lot like their "structure" is a model, and not composed of atoms, or anything physical at all. It's still very interesting, but it's not something one could go out and build, even in theory.

Touch typing is objectively better, but 2 finger is enough to have a career at programming, it's not what is going to hold you back. I'd be more concerned about RSI than speed. You _really_ don't need to type fast for program

Are there any where you truly don't care what season it is? I can't think of any where it actually doesn't matter.

You don't need a calendar to have seasonal celebrations. I doubt there was ~ever any society that couldn't tell you approximately where they were in the year anyway. All it takes is making marks on literally anything, one per day,

Society is in a continuing state of being "offended" by the words that have become demeaning, and then we switch to new words. This is not a new thing, or anything you'd ever be able to change or stop.
