I fondly remember my first PC, which only had DOS. I came from C64 where I had GEOS, that allowed me to do anything with a nice GUI, so it felt like quite the step back. However, PCs were all the rage at that time, so I got one and thanks t

No alcohol or nicotine and sleeping for the same period every day can go a long way. Might also avoid direct sun exposure, for good measure.

As a professional writer, I can confirm that my editors love to sprinkle em dahses excessively on my work. Personally, I'm more prone to excessive semicolon usage, which seems to aggravate editors.

Japan seems to get at least the real estate stuff right. No nationalization needed when houses aren't worth investing in. Also, give people something else worth investing into. Make laws that move all the incentive out of the housing m

Yes, often you see huge gains in some benchmark, then the model is ran through Aider's polyglot benchmark and doesn't even hit 60%.

To me, the reasoning seems to be: Npm, pnpm, and yarn are written in JS, so they have to use Node.js facilities, which are based on libuv, which isn't optimal in this case. Bun is written in Zig, so it doesn't need libuv, and can

I tried using Bun a few times, and I really liked working with it. Much better than Node. However...! I always managed to hit a road block with Bun and had to go back to Node. First it was the crypto module that wasn't compatible with
