I believe the argument is that if you were capable of subsisting without harming another living creature, then you should try to do that.

Why not tweak the tool to modify the links into outline links?

I think it’s reasonable to feel surprise at learning that this is allowed to happen. Why the surprise-at-surprise style reaction? It makes people feel a bit mocked.

Anything to sell a story, right? It’s not even necessary in this case. A selfie-induced death is interesting enough without a manufactured tale of an “epidemic.”

I think you’re right. Maybe we should skip the facial recognition and install RFID tags behind our eyes, after all, they basically know all of that info already anyways.

Wouldn’t agencies like the NSA use it regardless of what regulations say? Wouldn’t policy be shaped by what large corporations saw as valuable? I think that big problem already exists to a degree, and it’s only a matter of time before this

Didn’t you say that one result as opposed to the other should be considered extremely suspicious and looked at again multiple times? Should the opposite result also be viewed this way?

Wow, I had never heard about this. That’s really cool!

Might those be snap packages? It sounds like a similar annoying I had, where df would be filled with /dev/loop entries, multiple for each snap package, to the point where 20% of the lines were actually useful. That was enough for

I’m used to the exact setup it offers me. I built a keyboard with custom macros to interface with some shortcuts that the desktop offers and I’m very particular about having them all available. That alone isn’t a deal breaker, it’s not very

A solution to what? In my opinion, it’s quite convenient to have access to both. Sometimes I need to copy from a webpage but then realize I could speed up by middle click pasting a few other things, and then using ctrl-v for the first copy.

I think that’s copy on some terminals, but I think the parent is talking about paste.

> rules for auto color change top bars Is this specific to KDE? This sounds like a really nice feature for when I’ve got tons of windows floating around. I’m a big fan of obvious tells so you can get your bearings at a glance.

What did you end up doing in a period of non-work work like that? Read books?

Can people with this condition dream? And if yes, then what is that like in comparison?

That was my takeaway as well. It’s also somewhat ambiguous; who are you comparing yourself to? All coworkers, everyone in your graduating class, people the same age as you? I’m sure that we’re seeing at least a bit of everyone thinking they

I don’t agree that these are good solutions. A lot of these frustrated men are simply looking for companionship. Not to mention the unrealistic prospect of someone flying to another country for some casual sex. Not everyone can afford that

The things I hate about the Apple app are the fact I can’t swipe from the left to queue a new song, and the fact that if you’re shuffling all songs then you simply can’t use the play next feature at all. That ability did exist at one point,

I did this in a Biochemistry course minus the Vim. It is definitely counterproductive and I started to do better once I switched back to traditional notes.

For me, I’ve been rewriting my simple scripts and old school projects in Rust, which has been both enjoyable and informative. Project Euler problems are pretty trivial (wrt coding) but might have some small useful nuggets. The code advent c

I’m not a fan of this line of thinking. Are those with high income and power not allowed to be unhappy? I’m sure there are plenty of people in a position similar to hers, and maybe her advice could help them advise their own decision making
