I got my 4 out the other day because I was having the $29 battery replacement done in my SE. The 4 feels a little heavy, but the size is juuuust right. I would gladly pay the same. Hopefully with a headphone jack.

They have the performance to climb faster if they wanted to, but they don't. They actually climb slower to save fuel. And the use of smaller aircraft means there are more of them, since they each carry less people, but there's mor

Wow, I had no idea this existed. I built a similar thing for my own personal use for my local airport (Minneapolis/MSP). I looked at using an Amazon Dash button, but the lifespan is not great and the convenience is not high. Instead, I

Do people get a lot of education on what constitutes an emergency vs what can be treated at an urgent care? I certainly don't remember getting taught much. In my experience, an Urgent Care feels more like a screening room to real medic

If you're fully bought into the Apple ecosystem, iCloud is pretty decent. I don't ever use the web interface, but CalDav is CalDav.

I switched from Chrome to Safari as my desktop browser a few months ago. I kind of miss uBlock Origin, but other than that I have zero regrets. Safari is noticeably faster, doesn't kill my battery, and the company that makes it isn

Depends a lot on your site. The large publisher that I work for sees more traffic from Safari/Webkit than Chrome (42% vs 40%) due to mobile traffic on iOS.

It is not against their policy. They know how to index it and there is schema.org markup for paywalled content. https://support.google.com/news/publisher-center/answer/4054...

A paywall is not a lock. It is code that someone else wants to ship to my computer to run. It's up to me to decide what parts of it I run or not.

From what I've read, urban areas are the refuge for monarchs since there are people like you that plant it, and areas that don't get pesticide applications. It is rural areas that are blanked with pesticides that are the problem.

Nope, it's a good thought. Churches are a tremendous waste of land that could be put to good use, often in the middle of cities. Many of our cities have affordable housing crises and churches sit empty all but a few hours of the week.

Google is very much more than an aggregator. They've invented a proprietary standard (AMP) which they then strong-arm publishers to use, and is only beneficial to publishers when hosted on google's platform. They're forcing p

It's a shame that google, the internet's largest advertising company, has done so little to help this. Instead of addressing the problem the hard way by talking to advertisers and, you know, using people skills, they approach it t

This is one of the reasons I've let my Prime subscription lapse and started doing more shopping at Target. In addition to fewer (or no) ads, I can often pick an item up in an hour instead of waiting two days, and the prices are better.

I work for a large publisher. Google isn't putting a literal knife to anyones throat, but they are not so subtly suggesting that search traffic is tied to your usage of AMP. That qualifies as `force` in my book.

Depends a lot on the hybrid. Prius is the most reliable car you can buy. When I sold mine at 130k miles, it still had the original brake pads. You are right about the jack of all trades, and IMHO that's a good thing.

Target's RedCard is a significant advantage they've built over all their competitors. They don't have to pay the fees, customers get a discount, and they get easy access to the data on your purchases. I'm surprised more
