Exactly. I started working in video games programming in '93 when C was considered high level, and most games were written in assembler. C has an elegant simplicity about it that both enables you to implement the high level features in the

Whilst you do need to learn the basic editing keys to get anything done in emacs, a lot of the time you just use M-x which opens an auto-completing input for you to type a command. Also the built in help features such as apropos make things

This is similar to Canada's provincial nominee program. Skilled workers, usually already working in Canada under a temporary visa, are put forward by companies for permanent residence and cut the line.

This is a nice tool but I don't get the obsession with github. Surely resumes should be about what you worked on and how it went rather than where you host it? People use other public repositories a lot, like Google Code. In addition many r

Nice to see a project using http://code.google.com/p/lispbuilder/wiki/LispbuilderSDL which wraps the SDL library amongst others and works on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.

Hi. I answered this question, and was delighted to see it because it was the sort of question that is fun to answer. I was surprised about the "do your homework" rule as I've never heard of it before. So I read the FAQ and it's not there. Y

I expect an OS to mostly stay out of my way and let me do stuff. If an upgrade is going to damage my stuff in some way it's the most minimal of courtesy to warn me and give me options.
