I remember reading a case where a woman was pulled over by a cop, in a pitch black area at night. She drove another mile or so before stopping when she found some light. She was arrested for "not stopping" or something along those

Maybe Google will take a bit out of Windows marketshare? It really sucks that we only have three options now - windows, mac and Linux. Two of these are owned by mega corps and the last one isn't as user friendly as the others

One piece of advice (more like a suggestion) that I can give, after working in the industry for so many years - nobody cares about your career. I've worked in 10+ places, all they cared about was getting max work done from me. I'v

Can you give an example of a web app/service that you created? Are these SaaS or content sites monetized by ads/affiliate etc?

If Dorsey banned his account, it would probably be a shitshow. Right wing trolls would come out in droves (even more than they do now). If Twitter did ban his account, what about other equally bad but smaller accounts? How many can they ban

Maybe a middle ground, like what Louis C.K did. He was selling his videos for $5 at one point, if I remember correctly - directly from his website, cutting out the middlemen. Yes, one can buy it and send it to all their friends, but the pri

While everyone (biz or not) should have an emergency fund, this is not always possible. For example, restaurants - they already operate on razor thin margins, creating a 6 month emergency fund might not be that easy. Plus, this virus is lik

Any advice on how to balance learning/knowing theory vs practical stuff? As a kid, I read tons of books. While I don't regret it, I kinda wish I had spent some time outside doing socializing and physical activities. I'm in aw

I have a 2011 model Mackbook Air. While it is not the best or powerful laptop I've used, the only problem it gave me so far is the power chord (which I had to replace). It is still working after all these years. I am not a Apple fanboy

Yes, I would. Actually the higher the salary, the easier it is to give up a portion of the salary, at least for me. I understand your skepticism, but I would - I am single and my needs are small, so it is not like my kids are gonna starve.

These are abnormal circumstances. I wonder if it is possible to delay the layoffs by cutting salaries - maybe instead of firing 5 out of 10 equally paid people, they can cut the salaries of all 10 people by half (or something like that). An

Same here - Fox news is on a whole new level. It is like the onion, except it stops being funny after about 30 seconds. Also wasn't this the same channel that argued that they are allowed to present false news (or something similar)?
