Having capital or hiring authority doesn't correlate with willingness to try to actually hire value rather than assemble something that they think resembles a team. What I don't get is why no one is attracted by the social brownie

It's easy to feel like a victim when you learn really quickly, are very good at a wide variety of different areas, and languish in poverty and debt because the only way to get non-marginal employment is 10 straight years of the exact s

I'm really sick of title editorialization and the constant jockeying in the comments to editorialize the title. It's gotten really ridiculous and tiresome. Link post titles should just be pulled from the target's <title>

idk, the thing Google has been doing lately where they suddenly render a block of ads under your mouse as you're clicking on a result seems like the kind of thing an AI would do to increase ad clicks

Yes, it's a very smart business model. SQLite is extremely useful at all levels; I get it for free (not even merely open source, they took pains to dedicate it into the public domain, which is part of why they don't take patches),

If you're upset by Butterick linking to his own font then you're not "all for artists promoting their work". This is ridiculous. Is he supposed to pretend he doesn't make fonts in his book about typography?

Be sure to get the 4.0 GPA too - it's very nice to have for surprisingly long. Absolutely don't "challenge yourself". You can do that when you're not being graded on it.
