You accidentally used markdown as an example of a plain text format, and programmers have a trapped prior that everything uses markdown, so even putting it after TeX won't avoid this sort of comment.

I am flabbergasted by how irrelevant this reply is. I am agreeing with the original comment. Why would you post that? What is wrong with you?

No, I meant that part to be a little mean, and I wouldn't be upset if the other poster had taken offense at that; it's a tradeoff. I'm offended that they emitted actual word salad at me followed by a random (and actually wild

I'm sorry I replied; I thought you were confusedly misinterpreting the article by reading something about cargo-cult practices into it, but I now think you're just sort of emitting nonsense, and so it turned out to have been point

You sound like you saw the phrase "Right Way Guy", felt it sounded pejorative (it's more gently poking fun at a common thing), and decided it must mean That Type Of Guy I Don't Like. The article is referring to the foibl

If you ask on / search the history of the mailing list, you'll see that in complex merges with synthetic intermediate parents it can produce some really gnarly output, which is the main reason why (coupled with git's general

This is really polemically overstating the case, but at least it links to the mailing list threads where you can see what's actually going on. Not that anyone will click them.

It's pretty entertaining how the pro-Altman firehose turned off like a light switch after a couple days of all discussion being choked in an endless stream of Altman praise. At least Adam Neumann is a weirdo with a personality.
