I have a music player PWA published on Android[0]. It works pretty good, my users are happy (rated 4.5 stars), and I haven't encountered any significant issues with it. For the file system access API, only the origin private file syste

It's reasonable because users typically run more than one OS: - phone - home desktop/laptop device - tablet - workstation These are not powered by a single OS, yet users want apps that run on all their devices. That's a big r

PWA install experience is nice and easy on desktop, you're right. But to be clear, the author is saying that on mobile, especially on iOS, PWA capabilities are crippled. I say this with some authority, having worked on Microsoft's

For folks uninformed about Israel's judicial reforms, the short of it is Israel doesn't have a constitution, resulting[0] in decades-long ambiguity about the powers granted to the judicial and legislative branches of government. W

I love Lit! Easy, fast, super lightweight as it's a thin layer over standards-based web components. Using it for all my side projects, as well as stuff at work. Server-side rendering is still a missing piece. But overall, I'm very

Chromium-based browsers have -webkit-box-reflect [0], which does some of the things that element() does. Specifically, it does reflections of elements. That's really the big use case for -moz-element IMO. [0]: https://develo

What's the answer to making WordPress sites faster? I too have tried better hardware, CDNs, plugins like WP Super Cache, and others means of optimizing. Very little impact. Is the problem PHP? I'm thinking of trying one of those p

Many non-technical users look for apps in the App Store. That said, it's possible to package progressive web apps (PWAs) for listing in app stores: PWABuilder[0]. Disclaimer: I've worked on PWABuilder. [0]: https://www.

I think it's too new. HTTP/3 has only recently been standardized, and Web Transport is built atop that. New tech, not many users yet. I suspect we'll see many web games utilize this in the near future.

Not quite. The text in question deals with either manslaughter (accidental death) or premature birth. Both are distinguishable from murder, the deliberate taking of a life. And this is why the punishment is not capital.
