This is solid advice. While you may not be able to do everything in the slides there are some really good practices.

DRF is super nice to work with. It can be a bit slow when you start piling on the serializers and such but dev time wise it gives you a significant boost in productivity.

How would a program detect the use of a debugger? I know a lot of crackmes and other anti-piracy measures involve detecting the use of one but am not sure how they do it. Do they just look for running processes with a debugger signature lik

Reading stuff like this makes me think what key pieces of technology made things viable a few years ago. For example what breakthrough made SSDs so widely available and cheap?

Why is this? Doesn't it make sense to publish which company did the audit? I mean for financial companies like KPMG they definitely do it.

I don't think this is overblown at all. I expect to see a class action lawsuit because of this. If you are a big advertiser and you can somehow show damages because of this error there may be a case. There are some adtech companies rec

Why would there be a business opportunity here? Banks can already do this but they don't. Maybe it is more risky so they charge higher rates.

The traveling salesman problem comes up quite often when programming. I'm actually surprised how well written Cristoferides's algorithm was on this blog post. Usually most algorithm explanations are super hard to follow.

I think the article is missing an important point. Why are there foreign transaction fees in the first place? Also I think that any large service is semi doomed because of the governments in each of the countries you plan to do business in.

Maybe the lower premiums would cancel out the amount that real world insurers can make. Though I kind of agree with you that having a bunch of money sitting there doing nothing is bad.

I find a lot of the lingo that Ethereum uses to be crazy confusing. However the concept is appealing to distribute risk. It will only work though if there is an easily verifiable source of truth for what you are trying to distribute the ris

Interviewing is like dating and there is a certain amount of randomness to it. For every interview you might as well roll some dice. A certain percentage will reject you NO MATTER WHAT. It happens. Especially at large companies like Google&

Try to view it overall as a product decision. I don't think it is necessarily "stupid". In fact I think a lot of thought went into it. Not just someone saying "oh today I will remove the backspace functionality". I

Airbnb might be trying to take on the entire travel industry. It's not that insane to raise this much capital if they wanted to try their hand at EXPE or HST's market.

You'd be surprised at what insurers are willing to insure. It just depends on what price. Just because there is no specific data about reusable rockets doesn't mean it can't be insured based on other factors.
