I still don't see this as a new phenomenon. Before Android phones there were Game Gears. Before those we had Tiger Electronics handhelds. Before those we had comic books. The only major thing that seems to have changed are the names of

Are there any studies or support you can give behind your claims? Just as you're skeptical of research in the area, I'm skeptical of people claiming to have seen "hundreds of people" cured of diseases by something as sim

Were the authors of this recent study the same ones releasing results in the 50s? From what I can tell is these are recent scientists conducting a study in Beijing with potentially disconfirming evidence of your claim.

I think this is a "humans" thing. Japan and other countries have their own share of cults and group-think. Every culture has people who, for whatever reason, don't feel like they fit in. There will always be others who rise t

This brings me back. While I didn't attend HedgeStock, I used to post on the Albourne Village forums of the "conference" organizer. They had a points system which I found a way to game, accumulating enough points to buy a Hed

The interesting point here is that they aren't doing an ICO. This reads to me more like a blockchain exploration of a rewards system from a large company. Far less likely to be a 'pump and dump' than the me too altcoin of the

I deeply disagree and I'd wager anyone who has done any sort of sales or biz dev does too. Trying to influence a potential client to close a multi-million dollar software contract is anything but close to 'normal' activities.

Disinegenuous in what regard? What may seem like "eating and drinking" for sales and biz dev folks is a game requiring thinking on your feet, subtle negotiation, reading social cues, and constant strategy changes.

I also felt this way. There is a large amount of "one weird tip" self-promotional blogspam in the startup space. Self-promotion isn't bad on it's own, we all have motivations at some level. But too often pulling back the

Ideally yes, likely, no. From the sparse details we do have it sounds like there were some fundamental disagreements between the board and CEO. The board may have seen firing the CEO as the path of least resistance. It seems harsh, but with
