Then let's raise it to $1000 an hour. We'll all be rich. To respond to the above comment, yes, it does lead to higher unemployment for those with lower skills, particularly in an environment when unemployment is already high. Who would you

A felony conviction and jail time is akin to a career death sentence for most people. You'll never get a decent job again.

To answer your question: It depends. Some states are easy to purchase guns in, some are not. My own state, Michigan, has essentially no requirements to purchase a rifle. You can go to a dealer and purchase one on the spot. You are subject

Clean coal is a lie. The byproducts of coal usage are stored in gigantic ash ponds. In 2008, one such pond ruptured and spread 5.4 million cubic yards of waste containing mercury, arsenic, lead, and thallium (amongst other things) all over

But that's implied in a contract. If it becomes something you didn't (objectively) intend to agree on, it's not a contract anyways.

There is a movement in the legal community toward using plain English . Though, some think that doing so somehow reduces the quality of the legal writing. I was recently struck by how Google's terms of service are written in plain English

I think you're right, particularly when it comes to currency. Currency is the absolutely pinnacle of power of modern governments. Loss of that power means weaker governments. Most people don't realize that for much of the USA's early existe

So much pessimism here. Although I can't afford a Tesla S, I thank god for those who can. They are the early adopters that make the market for future models that surely will be cheaper, either from Tesla or another company. Tesla is on to a

Well, it would be hard for the German company to claim there was no contract when they're trying to collect on it. As for US law, yes, there is enough there for a contract to be formed. Additionally, the CISG may apply if the contract was f

You might not realize that just sending an email to a design company saying "Please design us a web site and we'll pay you $500" creates a contract (assuming the design company responds and says "ok!"). I doubt the design company would have

Conversion might work too. Of course, any suit would probably go after them using as many legal theories as possible. Tortious interference comes into play when you are purposely trying to interfere with someone else's business arrangements

There certainly is a contract, even if it was oral, the question is what were the terms of the contract. Likely there were no terms dealing with what happens if there is no payment.

I can't find in that paper how many iterations they put PBKDF2 through and which hashing algorithm they used. Any implementation of PBKDF2 I do uses a very high number of iterations (50,000+) and I use whirlpool, which is amongst the slowes

While I think it's cool to have a competition to help come up with better, "standardized" methods of hashing, PBKDF2 is pretty good already. The problem seems to be a lack of implementation, not a lack of good options.

Very few break the silence because the far majority of human beings will submit to authority without question, if the conditions are right. It's well documented that they will even do so to the point of hurting or even killing someone else.

My favorite site for finding all kinds of VPS deals (some for as little as $15 a year) is http://www.lowendbox.com . It's great for finding a VPS nearly anywhere in the world for your SSH tunnel, offsite storage, or just to tinker with.
