Sure, you've added another segment that is not linux. The point I was trying to make is that I don't think many people would expect linux (of any flavour) to be the dominant development OS.

It is surprising to me, for probably similar reasons that the authors expected. OSX has, for a long time, been the OS of choice for arguably the majority of developers that aren't developing specifically for windows (.NET etc). OSX has

What about when event structures change? Now you’re having to push versions into your events and keeping every version of your serialisation format. Redux often does not have to keep track of versions, because the event stream is consistent

Cmon you’re still banging on about that? It was a one off thing that they were pretty much crucified for. You bring this up a lot, and I don’t think what you’re arguing against has been a problem since.

No I wouldn’t think so. But knowing about a role and angling towards it early if that sounds more interesting is hopefully helpful information.

Honestly, it sounds like you may be geared more towards software architecture rather than software development. If you like the sound of the bigger picture more than the details, it might be something you could look into.

Again, that would need to be a new standard that all payment providers honour. Not to mention 3DS is an optional extension for providers. The dodgy ones aren't going to provide either 3DS or a secondary "are you SURE you are ok wi

What other consent do you propose? The customer is already providing their credit card details. The only secure way of providing recurring consent would be something like a separate CVC.

And there are other projects (such as Django Rest Framework or even Django itself) where many people and companies derive significant value but either don’t have the time, knowledge, or resources to contribute directly. These projects advan

I’m struggling to see how your comment relates to the article, which is showing financial support to open source projects. Funding is a serious issue with OSS. Suggesting all code should be OSS is orthogonal.

Detecting some motion with a sensor and detecting precise motion using radar is very different. It’s a novel use of technology, and I’m for one perfectly happy with this kind of invention being patentable.

Forms (and models) in Django are one such thing. When you define fields on a form at the class level, Django maintains a global counter so the fields can retain their order with respect to each other. Now, with ordered dictionaries, that or
