This is my problem as well. I’ve been using fish for quite a long time, and I’m still frustrated by weird posix incompatibility.

I'm quite a bit leery of this article, even though some of it is pretty accurate. There are some glaring problems with it, and I would advise you not to take it as gospel truth. First, requiring a credit card for free trials is often n

I have been consistently blown away at just how bad usb hubs really are. The market is absolutely saturated with garbage, but it seems like even the high quality ones aren't really that good.

I’m talking about Hendersonville (north of Nashville). As for buildable land, not a chance right now. At least not at a reasonable price. My wife and I have been looking for land in Hendersonville for seven years, it’s awful. Old Hickory, t

We were about to put an offer down on a home in a rural-ish area of north Nashville when we got additional information that showed it was ~120k overvalued. It still ended up with multiple offers in less that 24 hours.

Counter-point, these candidates foresee constant frustration and struggles because the company has a culture of NIH. Not saying that's actually the case, but since their website is down, it's kinda hard to tell.

The first improved feature they tout as part of their rational for the price increase is "extended version history." I feel like this is quite a bit mis-leading, as you pay extra for this feature. I got a Backblaze price increase

I think Github should support some kind of variant of robots.txt in the source code. Maybe a common line in the license file that excludes it from ML training data. That said, if you want to exclude it, that's your right, but you shoul

The spec is ok, but you do have to bounce around a lot. There are still areas that need improvement for sure, but we’ve been using it for about a year now with some level of success in building a chat product.

There is a long-standing bug in lighthouse where out-of-process iframes are counted against the main thread. This causes major degradation in lighthouse scores. Even YouTube’s own iframe embed is affected. You could have a perfect-scoring p

It was apparently still compiling shaders behind the scenes. I changed something that caused to it show me the status in an overlay. As soon as those shaders were compiled, it ran totally fine.

This problem is so infuriating. There was a thread the other day about it. It's clearly a bug, but it seems to be one that nobody wants to take responsibility for.
