Perhaps at one point I was realistic but I think at this point I’ve seen enough blatant deception that I am overly paranoid as sort of a defense mechanism. This is probably still more accurate than how I viewed things before, but all I real

Makes sense. I suppose in my case it’s ease of service to service communication + deployment that’s the primary benefit. Consul could easily handle the first, but deployment could be a bit trickier. Ultimately I think if GKE didn’t exist I

Do you have any actual data related to this claim or am I just supposed to assume that it's true by inferring things from Amazon's cloud offerings? Edit: Sorry for the aggressive tone, I overreacted a bit because it seems like eve

It is Demandware. The pricing is awful (a flat rate of hundreds of thousands + 3.5%), the old pipeline based model is awful, and even the new JS based replacement isn't great. It has the ability to run "jobs" but the error re

Today at 2PM EST on twitch.tv/aws The email just said "We can hardly contain ourselves. Tune in tomorrow for a live announcement about running containers on AWS." But that almost certainly means EKS.

Got an email yesterday that pretty much said everything but "we're launching EKS tomorrow". It's really the only container-related announcement they could be making.

I get that people may not like the tone here...but the central point is true. Microsoft is even more aggressive about this stuff than Google now. Having to opt-out per major update is just insane, almost nobody will remember to do it making

I disagree, I think Apple is still rather committed to the Mac even if it is no longer their #1 priority. Even if it's a small part of their profits, it's a big source of the strength of their brand (visually speaking, a Mac stand

VS Code is actually nearly identical on all platforms just like Atom. I find Atom generally has more available plugins, but VS Code can’t be beat for TypeScript imo.
