Troll. But just in case you're not permanently damaged yet: Imagine you're invited to a party where you are the oldest, fattest, least appealing person there, and you're not particularly made to feel welcome. Now imagine you're expected to

You're invited to a conference that's relevant to your position and your industry. When you arrive, a number of hired twentysomething men are milling about wearing tight tee-shirts, padded crotches, and skintight jeans. They're dancing, dri

The Apple ID/iTunes/iCloud edifice has always been messy, yes, but I believe appleid.apple.com has always been the account management page. They've never had login UI on most pages.

Extraordinarily bad news. The damage that can be done with an Apple ID is limitless, including CC leaks, physical address, instant remote wipes of phones and Macs, you name it. This had better be Apple's priority zero today. Edit: When a cr

No, stop, this non-thought does not advance science. It's nonrigorous garbage that's designed to go down smooth without much effort. At best it's fanciful noise, at worst it's a cultural nerve toxin.

I get the core idea: alerts services are essentially ego-stroking services unless your corporation is big enough to reach PR critical mass. But finding out who's talking about you is a graymarket use for this service. For a company to prope

Absolutely spot-on. The day Apple scuttles the Pro is the day they have fundamentally checked out of the computer industry. (That mobile and portable is preposterously more profitable is beyond the point. PCI+x86 is an empire.)
