Really? You see no similarities between these 2 cases? I only see one big difference. One author cares about only himself and his own little world

Someone, please tell me where there is a copyright notice anywhere on http://learnpythonthehardway.org/ or on the PDF http://learnpythonthehardway.org/static/LearnPythonTheHardWa... If he's so fanatical about copyright, why can't he pos

Shut the hell up? Sorry, that's not really recommended advice to tell your developers. At least in the Ruby world, if you are on SVN, say goodbye to any competent devs. We can't work under those conditions.

It's a well done parody. But there's a message here that I'd like to refute. I would guess the gist of this project is: built in browser dom api is fine, we don't need any abstractions. So... what changed in the last 6 years? I would say:

Yep, that I do. Isn't that the point of insurance, to protect you against catastrophic issues? Is the solution to cut your pay in half by going salaried just for the health insurance?

I had the same urge. I had been an introverted hacker all through high school, and when I went to college wanted a change. So I joined a fraternity. It didn't work out. The frat guys were cool, but they did stuff you would expect frat guys

Hmm... I can't see that being terribly useful. I think having it there as a default would be a distraction. If anything, should be a button or something for "use my ip address". But I imagine the 95% use case being people with cloud servers

Things need to get worse before it gets better. Seems like the best idea is to ditch the Euro, deflate the currency, and wait for companies to come back when prices are cheap enough where its worth doing work there. It'd be painful, but at

Who says I want monoculture. However when one framework breaks out and gets traction, then you get a lot of things as an end user. Documentation, stability, plethora of open source plugins. Are these things so terrible?
