Bulk TCR sequencing cost around $500 to $1000 and captures under a million T cells. scRNA Seq costs around $10,000 and captures under ten thousand T cells. The price of sequencing is falling exponentially so my numbers can be out of date

After reading this article, my reaction is that yes, transformers are not the optimal model for NLP and reasoning, but transformers are good enough and scale really well on current GPU hardware. Going forward, I think hardware is the constr

The best chip production is going to smartphones. PC processors drain my battery and are slow compared to a GPU. So why would I spend money on a new PC or new PC processor?

Would I prefer an OS with a consistent UI? Yes. Would I prefer a more user friendly OS? Yes! Will I still use Windows? Yes. Why? Because I spend 50% of my time in Microsoft office, which works far better in Windows than other OS

I loved the early iterations of Julia. It was everything I wanted… fast, simple, and readable. Somehow the language has become less simple and readable to the point I don’t recommend it anymore

Having spent over 10 years in a university and been a professor, the problem isn’t attention seeking behavior but a lack of accountability. For example, you can literally make up any data you want in a grant proposal and so long as it soun
