Highly recommend going through Summoning Salt’s back catalogue as he is a great storyteller. He has a way of getting me interested even in games I’ve never played, like Ninja Gaiden [1]. I think the epitome of this for me was his vid on Mar

From memory they give refunds based on some time threshold of hours played. So if you’ve played more than say 2 hours, it’s much harder to get a refund

Didn’t the Steam Link stream video from a full on PC? I’m not sure the 4K encoding and streaming in near-realtime story is particularly good even today, let alone a year or two ago when a 4K Steam Link might have been a possible hardware it

A more skeptical person would say it’s been months away from proof of stake for years now… I’m not bearish on this in particular but let’s wait for the thing to actually happen before celebrating it as a win I reckon.

Without knowing anything of the religious rules at play here, could you have an elevator that incorporates both? Eg. default is to travel in Sabbath mode but non-religious residents could still use the buttons to override it to a specific f

The EF Core thing might make a little more sense with some context. It originally started out only compatible with .NET Core (which was the successor to .NET Framework) Eventually Microsoft came to the conclusion that doing .NET Framework

Good call, it’s most likely bokeh. See https://youtu.be/g256IPFoqMg Mick West incidentally does a number of quite good videos on UFO footage and camera phenomena.

I’ve been a paying (happily) user since Reader died, and I am a big fan of Newsblur. It’s one of my “multiple visits a day” sites / app. You’re also super responsive on Twitter / support channels too whenever I’ve needed, thanks f

It’s a great game, really hit that X-Files / Fringe vibe that has been largely missing from a lot of media in the last decade or so.

There’s some really great SCPs on there, I go through the top rated ones every few months. Some very creative and well thought out pieces. I have a feeling like the developers of Control (the video game) were heavily influenced by SCPs.

If you pin it to start menu, and have an Admin console setup via the settings it will appear in the Start menu jump list to open as admin. Though doing it this way you do get the flicker as the non admin terminal spawns the admin terminal.

I’ve done a few Jackbox Party Pack games sessions over last year’s lockdown, they are good fun and there’s normally at least one game per pack that everyone can be good at, without necessarily being the funniest or most creative. It works q

A lot of companies are at least removing the more aggressive DRMs (eg. Denuvo) some time after the prime sales window has passed, at which point they would either have minimal DRM like Steam, or be fully cracked.
