I’m not sure this is correct. A state court of appeals made this ruling, but it wasn’t a matter of state law (the “law” is the US constitution and the precedent was a US Supreme Court case); I believe the “jurisdiction” (e.g. where this rul

Why reference GPT-3? Was there no other suitable or practical source available (e.g. dictionary, encyclopedia, textbook, WebMD, etc)? Was the output accurate (first try, no edits)? I’m just curious, as I doubt the citation as a source lends

Im guessing free pizza. The fact that they’re local shouldn’t matter in this case; they offered it, and apparently were going to give it to someone, so don’t blame the kid for trying!

I appreciate the original comment’s explanation- it’s helpful to understand how the marketing points can potentially obfuscate the real/technical points. I also think your feedback is here accurate, and beyond that would take the side

Thanks for sharing the legal text of the law that was referenced by the article. After reading that, it seems that yes the article may have casually redefined the concept of 'minority groups'. That said, the Wikipedia entry (in En

It’s true they’ve rewarded shareholders and shareholders have rewarded them, but the profit metrics by division are almost trivial in this context. Amazon didn’t turn a profit for nearly 15 years- and not because they couldn’t have. The e-c

I see this article and thread as a general exploration/discussion of these concepts. I’d have suggested we could probably peg ‘fair share’ anywhere between zero and average American tax rate for the sake of this argument, but let’s jus

I disagree. Many complain about Bezos making billions and not paying a fair share of taxes; yet they support and empower him to further do so with every purchase they make from Amazon. Sure, voters have power voting in occasional elections,

So the pandemic hit, use of teleconferencing apps shot up, and then security issues were identified in one of the most popular apps. How does that refute the comment you’re responding to?

Hotels and resort fees are the most annoying. You can prepay including tax and they try to charge you for $15-30/day for nothing. Arguments typically ensue. It’s a crappy way to start a trip.
