So... In 2 days, I was in Inferno. That was not the intention of the game designers. I never bought ingame currency, but I know the laws of supply and demand and dealt with the game accordingly. If you're telling me that I should'

I had a bunch of toons at level 97; the last 3 levels have the same experience requirement as the first 96, so it's a lot of work to get to 99. The problems with D3 are manifold, but they all, at least to my mind, come back to wanting

I'd argue the difference is how the complex ecosystems handled parasites. On the one hand, Blizzard enabled balance-breaking monetization, and TF2 enabled costume-breaking monetization. Blizzard could've made just as much (or a lo

So, I have a bit of a personal episode here I'd like to share. I played a lot of Diablo 2, more than I care to admit, and so the launch of Diablo 3 was a really big deal to me. I pre-ordered it on day 1, I pre-installed the game weeks

Goldbely is a logistics company. While it's true they're doing food, logistics of this nature could be applied to other fields pretty easily. The hardest part is setting up initial distribution and sourcing; once that's done,

As a marketer, my view on content is that there are three necessary elements: 1) Quality/On-Topic 2) Correctly Timed with current events 3) Luck It's actually quite similar to startups in general when you think about it.

So this is obviously a problem, right? We had MagicScroll [0] which got a ton of positive hits, and now this. I believe there have also been a few other attempts along the way as well. The crux of the issue is velocity+comprehension. I don&

Getting an MMSC exposed from a network operator is a nigh-impossible task (source: I'm a telecom junkie). The MMSC infrastructure is unnecessarily complex and, for some ungodly reason, is seen as a proprietary network advantage. Your b

I doubt anyone knows max cps numbers on any platform. It's usually a question of adding more servers until the software breaks, but there are lots of strategies. It always comes back to design. Thanks for sharing :).
