So, curated lists? I like the idea, and the execution, but not sure what it has to do with my local bookstores. Perhaps the next evolution of bookstores (particularly since this is linking to Amazon )? One suggestion: for topics that hav

Fair enough -- I was really trying to say that I think album art needs a reconceptualization, starting with the manner in which it's delivered to the listener. In an abstract sense, the association of visual art with music, is, of cour

Maybe album cover art is just less meaningful in the year 2021. I couldn't care less what the album art looks like when listening to music on Spotify or YouTube. What I do care about is a current "About" tab in Spotify, a Wi

While I agree that there is something important to be said for maintaining a sense of community, it obviously does not require any kind of supernatural belief to do so. I would argue that the cost paid by society due to the institutionalize

I'm not saying there should be no auto-renew, only that it should be opt-in. Auto-renew as an available option makes all kinds of sense.

There should be a federal law against auto-renew by default. Whenever possible, I try to avoid doing business with companies that do this (which are many). The worst dark pattern, IMHO.

Put another way, if your code is very difficult or complicated to unit test, you've probably abandoned best practices for the language you're writing in somewhere along the way, in the name of expediency.

I like to think of tests and the team's emotional relationship to them as a barometer of the extent to which the repo is and has consistently followed best practices in the language. IOW, enforcing unit and functional testing forces d

Agree, but OTOH, this advice is pretty well disseminated at this point. It can be hard to find an opening to contribute in a decent OSS project that one can keep up with, especially as a beginner, with many others clamoring to do the same.
