js is single threaded. parallel number crunching is not possible. You can fake it by kicking off multiple executions on a data set and chunk the work load across the data set, so they progress incrementally and equivalently. The data might

AA is nice but nothing to write home about and no one will mistake AA as a travel destination. If you work in tech and likely earn enough to live comfortably in bay area or the other places I mentioned, the quality of life isuch better

Uninspiring landscapes, lack of diverse or superlative outdoor activities, climate. There is a reason those places I named are tourist destinations to a much larger degree than Detroit / SE Michigan

lived in Detroit burbs and went to school in AA. Yeah there are always worse places in the country.. but blah.. compared to the tech hubs out west, SE MI is such a boring place to live. it's all relative though of course

This article is such filler material. The quality of life in metro Detroit is horrible compared to the Bay Area, SLC, or Denver/Boulder. Sure the type of work singularly may attract some people from out of state. What else does it De

What meaning of low level are you objecting to? You have to work with the DOM + JS at fairly low abstraction level in order to get an output out of D3. It is be definition reusable. It is extremely powerful though!

d3.js is a very low level api. Out of the box, it is not re-usable at the level of this and other charting libraries like c3 or highcharts.

A lot of the variables you listed is not relevant. The solution linked here is only deriving the 3d positions of the fingers, none of the other nuances that can be expressed by the hand's muscular and skeletal system.

I don't think this is all that amazing. Human fingers only have a very narrow range of motion in a single direction. When the 2D profile of the hand changes, the set of finger movements to arrive at that profile is fairly predictable.

So this app is using the device's camera? How does it account for the fact that camera's perception of color is often no where as similar as our eye? Or is the intent for the user to see the world through the app and find colors t

A follow up sentence that re-iterates the same sentiment in non technical term will accommodate none technical recipients. Poor UX is my point of this

I have worked with some truly facepalm level of stupid H1Bs. I am sure we can find the same level of stupid here in the U.S. For these scenarios, I would much prefer u.s. citizens.
