$3 isn't this kind of a small problem? I miss rideshare service, in Denmark we have mess of expensive high quality taxis that you cannot get hold of when you need one.

If the world reverses away from larges states that control violence at scale, the industrial base that makes computers, social media, crypto and drones possible will simply disappear. Technology with globalization might be possible (I'

Lol, I wouldn't bet on us getting to that infliction point. All of this will be forgotten when the orange monkey is gone. So if it has to happen it has to happen yesterday.

IMO the UI is a killer feature. I don't need to configure and monitor cron jobs.

Amortization makes sense for things that have some inherent value. Like a microscope or computer. A bankrupt company can still sell their computers. Selling you code, lol -- code is more of a liability really :)

Is "Cloud -> Edge", important enough to warrant mentioning on such a chart? Edge makes sense in a few cases. But many services will be fine running in a single cloud region. Do anyone really see a mass migration here?

Ukraine don't win that way, and they don't get support from Europe that way. If Russian lives were valued, they wouldn't have started the conflict, much less continued it they way they do. So no, for Ukraine I don't see

Personally, I'm happy with my 700k USD home, I'd probably be working anyways, since to me it's preferable to work full time and enjoy modern amenities.

Houses less 400k DKK ~ 60k USD, granted houses at price range are small, worn down, far from cities and job market in area a bit challenged - but not impossible. https://www.boligsiden.dk/tilsalg/villa?sortBy=timeOnMark

You absolutely don't need to work 37 hours per week if you are willing to live 200km from the big cities in an old house. You buy something dirt cheap for less than 80k USD. It's not great, it's old run down. But if you do mi

I feel we've known this was coming years.. and it won't effect until 2040 -- this gives me confidence in the system. It's not an unfunded mandate running on deficit spending. So probably it won't be wiped away by a globa

Denmark has both private and public pension schemes. Well, I guess you're not required to have a private pension scheme. But most jobs come with one, most unions enforce it. I had one when I was sweeping the factory floor once a week a

Is it the generation that cost, or the promise that you'll always have power? Keeping capacity ready is probably the expensive bit.

The US and Europe is tightly integrated, this integration can be used as leveraged. Especially, since we've allowed the US to play the bigger brother in most of these relationships. But you can only use this in a big way once. And all

Why? US is not the main threat. And even this case it's pretty obvious that they are under attack. If you run your own server, you might not know that you've been compromised.

Sure, if you're connecting to a service using AGPL, the service operator must offer the source along with a copy of the license. I'm no lawyer, but unless the software in question makes an exception for the particular API, I would

In Denmark imports have to pay vat (25%), regardless of tariffs (goods made in Denmark also charge vat). But the processing fee for customs is usually 20-40 USD. Which can exceed the cost of the package in the first place. So when possible
