I cannot tell you how much I wish all designers worked this way. I spend more time cutting PSDs than I do building the backend of the site (which is what I am actually hired to do).

It's just an HTML/CSS/JS sandbox with collaborative features, similar to jsfiddle, which I believe is more well known (at least, among the people I work with). I haven't used jsbin before, but the interface looks nice, and the redesign is p

I've been using this for a couple of months now and can confirm it makes managing a complex WordPress deployment much simpler. It is used not only by Knewton's developers, but also their non- (or less-) technical staff. Congrats for gettin

I did the same, but I am confused. There appears to be a novel coming out with the same name as that short story.. I guess they must be related--I'm certainly interested in reading the longer version when it is released.

I'd love to take that $20-40k and put it towards a company that does nothing but monitor websites like Funny Junk and issue takedown notices on the behalf of the content owners. Companies like this probably exist, but I'm sure they don't co

Just tried the various one-liners mentioned in the comments on a hardy (8.04) release using mysql 5.0.51a and could not get in. This is a slicehost box, so I'm assuming that can be extrapolated to mean that anyone using ubuntu on slicehost

There is a free book online by an ex member called A Piece of Blue Sky. Once I started reading I couldn't stop.. it a very compelling story and it covers a lot of history in the broader sense (not limited to this specific member's experien

Some data here: http://jquerypp.com/#fastfix Not comprehensive, but it's something. They also include a link to: http://jsperf.com/jquery-event-fix Which lets you benchmark yourself (I'm getting an error in Chrome on OSX).

I'm getting the same thing. I wasn't 100% sure I had it correct, but since other, similar URLs issue a 404 this makes me think we got the URL correct. Either I am not seeing how this relates, or they are having issues.

If I charge hourly, the better I get the less money I make. I can offset this by raising my rate, but a high rate can be intimidating to clients. They'd rather hear that a project will cost them $1,000 and they can assume that is 20 hours

I find that if I work late (~11pm or so) I can't fall asleep for a few hours. Programming gets my mind wound up and wired in a way nothing else does, and I need some real relaxation time before I can sleep. Unfortunately I find myself work

You are correct that it is all hypothetical based on who is responsible. However, you are incorrect that this is related in any way to Google's own T&Cs. The post links to the Mocality T&C page and says whoever is responsible is v
