I agree that this is not a "big data" type problem, and that your approach of modelling the normal days is the way to go. Basically outlier/anomaly detection. But still, before on has 3-10 examples of the event being looked f

You would need to write custom firmware. Which means access at least to the pin mappings. Moko dos not publish them openly. Ruuvi however does. One would also need a Nordic 52 Development Kit in practice. Other devices like ESP32 are not as

ROCm is the framework. Both PyTorch and Tensorflow have versions that support it. Have no experience with it, so cannot say how it works in practice.

This seems like an excellent strategy in terms of marketing and building mindshare for the platform (as you mention elsewhere, it is an underdog).

The WT9011 should be able to send sufficient data. Practical in that it has iOS SDK, so very familiar territory for the author. However the battery life is very bad at 8 hours, the cost of transmitting continuously the raw samples... It wou

I have found two datasets of cats wearing accelerometer, none of these contain seizures. However they would be valuable in understanding the normal activity, and the data coming from that. Especially the natural variability, since one needs

There are standard solutions for BLE advertisement to web (HTTP/MQTT). The best is when they just forward the raw BLE bytes, then you can decode and handle on the server. ble2mqtt on GitHub, for example. Or finished router-type units l

There exists ready made BLE beacon hardware with accelerometer, which is excellent for an application like this. Many with NRF52 and LIS2/LIS3, for example. A well documented option is RuuviTag. May others from Moko, Minew, HolyIot etc

The use of accelerometer/gyro/IMU for activity tracking is quite well researched, including for animals. I found some papers on seizure detection for dogs using collar mounted accelerometer, though nothing for cat/feline. Bas

Agreed that "live" in-game LLMs for NPCs is probably a little while away. Need better tools than now that allows to strike a balance between constrained/directed output and variation. I suspect that LLMs are already used by

No? As far as I could understand, the open source and GitHub part is only about Mbed OS - the device part of the code. The cloud compiler/IDE (Mbed Studio) sounds like it will just be shut down.

Ah, right you are. Yeah, then packages really should not ship such directories. The practice of having tests inside the package being tested I remember as being discouraged, because it makes it hard to run one version of tests against anoth

That does not seem useful? Unless there is a bug in where the files end up, ie they are not namespaced by the package? Shipping tests is great, it allows downstream to verify the package works. Linux distributions now a days often runs test

No microphone on the PineTime. The Lilygo T Watch S3 does have microphone. Right now the PDM protocol is not supported in mainline MicroPython though, but I hope that will change soon. And 16 MB of FLASH limits how much audio can be stored.

MicroPython supports interrupts. But on some platform, like ESP32, the callback is scheduled. Preemption is still used, but it adds some microseconds and the delay is a bit variable. So it will work for some things, like reacting to a inter

Olimex ESP32 POE ISO with a PDM or I2S microphone breakout board is an easy version without having to create a custom board.

I think you mean I2S (or PDM)? I2C is not common on MEMS microphones, as the bandwidth is generally insufficient for audio signals.
