Could you try out something I've modified to work on canvas on Firefox Mobile? Are you driving the standard HTML orientation variables? http://ljd2.com/nemesis/indexcanvas.html

A great payphone hack would be to make it a dead-drop. Ie: put in a hard drive and a usb port and small controller. Then plug in your usb key, dial a number, it gets copied to the HD. Next person to insert his key and dial your number gets

I'm surprised a great source of ideas hasn't been mentions: Google search suggestions. For example, try typing "build android apps" (don't hit Enter). Hundreds/thousands are looking for how to make apps with: no programming experience, or

Does anybody know how they deal with the smart chips on the credit card? Almost no retailer uses the swipe anymore.

My bad, I misunderstood your comment that you were using "(relatively) cheap brushless motor controllers".

Brushless motors. You could put them on a bike but then you'd break the laws governing electric bicycles (500w or 1000w limits depending on the jurisdiction).

You might have luck in voluntarily limiting the power output to 1,000W and trying to follow the California guidelines for electric bicycles. Then gradually petition the government to delete the current motorized skateboard law. http://en.

I'd like to add, I love the controller design. That alone must be worth a couple of hundred ;) Does it use bluetooth? I hope it is not a standard RC transmitter because they can get jammed fairly easily (leading to injury and death, etc

They are using off-the-shelf brushless motor controllers (from what I can gather) and off-the-shelf brushless motors. There are many makers of ESCs with your requirements including from the now-ubiquitous HobbyKing, both sensored and senso

At a 1,000$ pricepoint I'm not so sure it will be good enough for the masses, especially for such a standard powered longboard setup. Longboards can be found for 100$, add two 50$ brushless motors, a belt-drive setup and a controller, I do

It might be possible to save the variable and ID states in the code before updating, then "pasting" them back in once reloaded.

In fact, Carmack did make a personal angel investment. In the MTBS3D forums it was mentioned that John was the source of the copies of DOOM 3 BFG. He is buying them at wholesale price and "donating" them to Palmer's project so that it wil

The more modern CAM packages will do this for you automatically (routing CNC so that it does not interfere with the part) but this version probably relies on the user to properly define the bends and angles so that no interference occurs.

Nuclear weapon use is no longer warranted and big nation/states like the US, Russia and China will definately not be using them for any kind of attacks. This Mach-20 glider is for a more targeted attack. A similar concept is presented in
