I assumed it would be a unique 3rd key per user/transaction. It increases the burden of the escrow-holder (by vastly increasing the number of keys to manage), but has the benefit of allowing granular access to data, rather than comprom

The escrow there would make me very nervous, as it becomes a very juicy target.

I, for one, would not at all like it to be subject to government shut downs, annual budget cuts to pay for wars, etc.

Well, big pharma still does R&D, and they will continue to do so if they think they can keep producing drugs cheaper than an acquisition (which they are working toward).

I started thinking about this a lot while listening to the last season of Serial. At times, there is enough doubt in the case to think that he might have been just a high school boy who's girlfriend was heinously murdered. Then, next t

I think the more pertinent question is "will the Google Hub become a competitor to the Echo anytime soon?".

Even if you only have disinterested, non-partisan scientists performing very rigorous studies, the science on this stuff is hard and layperson takeaways are nearly non-existent.

This could be a new generation for the Junkyard Wars type of show, and I'm excited at the prospect. On the other hand, poor implementation or chasing a wide audience might lead to a lot more human drama than necessary and less technica

I think it's much more likely that people will take additional precautions for themselves. Things like multiple email addresses, one-time-use credit card numbers, and VPNs will (very) slowly grow because of this.

I think OnHub has ZigBee and Bluetooth, which might be very interesting to the maker community and in a couple years to the internet of things.

I haven't read through the patent, but I heard an interview with them that says they want to use it to launch SSTO spaceplanes. They also are hoping that some company like Boeing will pick up the actual building portion of the task.

Airbnb could partner with a lock company to allow owners to buy the cheaply. Then the access could be handled in the Airbnb app, and revoked after the person leaves.
