Down-voted because people find it romantic living on cereal and a friends couch, all while having employees completely satisfied being paid in equity and high fives.

People probably read too much into your comment, hence the down votes. Reason would dictate from the very small amount of info provided that AngelList merely made the email out to look like it was from OP. To say they spoofed them email hea

I don't know if that particular analogy holds up. Doesn't the FBI have a warrant for these iPhones? And wouldn't, given the FBI had a warrant for a code-locked safe, be able to solicit Acme Safe Inc for either the blueprints

If 10% of developers on SO are students, and 2.5% graduate every year, does that mean every 10 years the population of developers increases by 25%? Do 25% of developers retire every 10 years?

Except the real goal likely isn't usability, it's to show promoted content in with the real good content, ala Facebook, Twitter, Imgur, Reddit, Hacker News, the list goes on really.

People do not bite the hand that feeds. How many stories have you read where the VCs get lambasted by founders and employees? Not many right? Remember it's a two way street. Sure maybe there is some incentive for VCs not to be ass hole

Has anyone here built a product that relies on Twitter's API for business critical features? How would you describe your risk tolerance, how long have you been in business, and do you have a personal or professional relationship with T

It had nothing to do with Rosa Parks specifically. I was pointing out to the OP that we can't sit here in our ivory desk chairs and tell other people to make a large sacrifice based on some superficial ethos argument. If you want to tr

I wouldn't be surprised if a large number of "founders" would happily comply with such a request if it meant earning a dollar.

If you want to make a critical argument for people to make such a large sacrifice, stop using so much rhetoric. The story of Rosa Parks has been heavily editorialized and she was in fact not the first person to stand up to bus segregation.

Founders are responsible for the business, you are right. You were probably down-voted by a "founder" who become unhappy at that thought. Source: I'm a co-founder, if my business fails it's my fucking fault.

I always felt classes in emerging fields were a little premature. It seems like it always takes a few years for professors to learn how to teach it, much less what exactly they should be teaching.
