These endorsements as far as I can tell are very often based on someone with an @google.com address has signed up and used the tool at some point in time, rather than being an actual endorsement.

We don’t have to imagine GPT3 doesn’t understand maths. It can reliably answer 1+1= because there are so many instances of it in the corpus, but if you give anything more complicated it will just throw out a random, incorrect, answer in mos

And I had a teacher in college who had a standing bet that he would pay out to anyone who was able to find someone else with his name, anywhere in the world, however I remember that because it’s highly unusual. Most people are going to have

These devices don’t have a network connection, tracking is done via BLE which just broadcasts a beacon regularly and is then picked up by nearby Apple devices which do have a connection.

If you're on AWS I strongly recommend EC2 Instance Connect, which uses the AWS CLI and IAM to issue short lived SSH keys that are automatically accepted by EC2 instances you have been granted access to via IAM policies.

If you're shipping commercial products based on Pis and running dist-upgrade you're likely doing it wrong. Using something like [Balena]( https://www.balena.io ) you can ship full update images so that devices are always

I had no idea this podcast existed, but love The Expanse. Listening to the first two episodes last night was great, it’s immediately apparent just how much they love the genre.

You hit on the head with the difference in interest. At that sort of scale you're looking at a difference of almost a million dollars in just a year, even if I were doing that for my own personal account I don't think I'd con

Factorio by its nature does tend to feel a bit like work, whether that's a good thing or not is going to depend on your personality. Whether I enjoy it depends very much what I'm doing in my actual job, if I'm in a period whe

The Google SRE approach isn't that different. You can ship systems that don't follow the SRE playbook, SRE just aren't going to take on-call for it. If you want a different team to be on-call for your application though, ther

I wouldn’t normally nitpick spelling, but “analyse” (or “analyze” if you’re in the US I guess) is the word you’re looking for. “Analise” has a very different meaning, one that you probably don’t want to Google on a corporate computer.

Kids TV is really good at this, until quite recently I didn't even know that Paw Patrol was originally a US show which then gets dubbed by a UK cast alongside the more expected regions with entirely different languages.
