It's difficult to know about this pesticide if it's harmless or not, many conflicting studies. I guess the problem is the dosage? Why can't they just divide doses by 5 or 10? I fear they can't trust farmers to put too mu

It felt good to hear what Gabe Newell had to say about startups. I don't mean to criticize how capitalism can turn sour, but the startup system can easily turns into some sort of pyramid scheme or snake oil, where some actors benefit,

It's true that if a leader betrays his own country, is that really a treason if that leader was elected? Democracy and politics are outside of the realm of the CIA and intelligence, because the CIA is under the command of the white hou

Yes, I don't know if selling those games is legal or not. Thus I can imagine that they don't want to become criminally responsible if that's illegal.

What is weird is how countries still have enough money to function despite this I wonder what sort of political event would change that, probably when EU countries realize they need money to rebuild their military.

I don't know, I like the idea. I tend to believe that in democracy and capitalism, corruption makes evil people busy because corruption becomes a quarantined, isolated competition, so they do less serious harm elsewhere, and they get p

I don't think having less manufacturing is such a bad thing. In a world of technology, what matters is designing and expertise, not making things. China has a rampant cheating problem in its universities, and there is a lot of corrupti

There are several indie games i want to buy, but they are all too expensive. Generally when it's above 15 euros, I don't buy them, unless it's an excellent game. If it's a short game, above 10 is also too much. This also

This reminds me of rust: even if rust will be widespread in 10 or 20 years, it will not really displace C++. Although I need a engineering explanation as to why COBOL is still alive after all those years, because any tech cannot live foreve

Who cares at this point? If you're a journalist and you don't have basic OPSEC for cyber stuff, there is no point in doing sensitive work. Nobody is really accountable for those kind of things anyway.
