Even without source maps it is not such a big deal as people who have no experience using cross-compilation would think. I write a very big game engine with GWT ( http://www.webworks.dk/enginetest ) and have no problems debugging. Clients s

GWT has been open sourced and a steering committee appointed to guide future development. So it is no longer really a Google project but owned by the community. Google has moved their resources on to Dart, which is a validation of the appro

Hm, I left all the admin options available for the demo and of course first thing someone locked down the app. I'll post a link later.

I fully expect the future of video to be 4D camera orbs that record a 360 degree view and let viewers look around inside the recording as it plays, using head-mounted displays. Just imagine revisiting your last holiday and seeing stuff you

Some comments are mean because the poster is a jerk. But some of the most valuable comments you will get are angry diatribes from people who probably saw potential in your idea but were disappointed for some reason. These are well worth tun

It's a confusing user experience (the scroll bar no longer indicates the length of the content and the sudden updates when you reach the bottom are jarring). It's also an unnecessary added complexity for hardly any gain.

I need it specifically for games, building an interface on a canvas without even layout managers or mouse click aware components feels like the stone age, so I am in the market for a wheel actually. Though it does seem like a bit of a waste

This is against the grain, but it is obvious to me that the way forward for web development is to rise above Javascript and simple DOM mangling, which is what most of these popular tools assist with. Javascript does not scale complexity and

I don't get it. Client thickness is one area that seems to have no bearing on the HTML5 vs. native debate. A canvas and Javascript based application will most often be as thick as a native app, the client downloads it once off the web never

Tabs in separate processes is the only thing I care about when considering switching back to Firefox. As long as a single poorly coded site or plugin can freeze or kill the entire browser, I simply cannot use Firefox.

This is correct. Pebbles, cracks, small sticks etc. are not a problem for these boards. I mostly credited the bigger wheels, but as you said it is of course because the wheels are powered. A high enough ledge will stop you dead though (hope

It's really not that difficult - you shift your weight all the way back, flex the rear knee into a very low stance with the front leg 'pushing back' against the deceleration. With proper technique you can brake almost as well as a bike.

According to the 'scientists' of the field, we are the entitlement generation, raised by hippies who broke all the rules and taught us to do the same, for the betterment of our own well-being, putting ourselves above the demands of others.

Personally I much prefer the 'awesome bar' in Firefox, for the single reason that it indexes page content and auto-completes based on title tags, page titles, etc. This is the one feature that I really miss when using Chrome.
