I agree that if users don't want something than it will have to die. I'm just not sure what we replace it with because I think economic drive behind the internet has been the major factor in the growth we've seen. Basically,

This is why "content marketing" has grown so much in the past few years.

That seems ok to. If a site is solely using ads for revenue and you choose not to see the ads then the site should be able to choose not to show you anything. The site will probably die eventually but it seems like that is fair. What doesn&

I'm interested in this just for analytical purpose. I'd like to see how many of my users do block ads, but they probably block 3rd party analytics also. My only question is: If users can block ads should content creators not be ab

People still want to consume content. What is the business model for content sites? Die? Right now it seems like people want to leach the content with out paying the bills.

I agree but they seem to be a major part of the online economy. I think users and advertisers are going to have to reach some kind of agreement for "free" sites to continue to exist. I know there are other business models but I wo

I don't understand the idea of living so frugal that you don't get to enjoy life just so that you have some money left over when you die. Get rich slow doesn't really make much sense when there is a very good chance I will di

Better than the 8k I got as a later hire in a startup. We actually got acquired, which is the biggest part of the battle. I took probably 20k less per year than I should have and ended up with enough equity to buy an early 2000's Honda

These guys down sound like squatters. They just have had the domain their entire lives and don't really care to sell it.

I understand that argument and the stats suggest most people don't need to charge on the road aside from road trips. By the time the Model S would need charged I'd be ready for a 30 minute break anyway. I still have range anxiety

I'd also say BMW wins in the interior also. At the price point I would still opt for a Tesla but I was commuting 120 miles round trip which gives me slight range anxiety. The P85 is my favorite of all cars I've driven so far.

It really seems like they have no interest in selling it at all. It's more of a personal attachment that they identify with that domain name.

I guess the "not needing money" part is something I've never experienced.

I lost interest half way through. It seems strange to me to hold on to a domain name when someone is offering almost 1mil for it.

$411k isn't impressive and it isn't sad either. To me that sounds about right for a team of 6 just getting started. I'm sure that won't support the salaries those people could get in the valley.

Does Tesla produce stats on which trim level sells the most? My guess for the "budget conscience" people would be regular Model S 85.

It's interesting because it's likely they were shill accounts created by the company to give the appearance of having active female users so that males would pay for a chance to hook up. It's not uncommon in the online dating

Most of the better recruiters will at least tell me the position is on hold or it got pulled. Some just completely ignore me. I guess they get a huge volume of email too but it doesn't leave a great customer service feeling.

I wouldn't even think of giving some random person my SSN. Although there seems to be a phenomenon of recruiters contacted people and then falling off the face of the earth. I think they just work by numbers. Send as many emails out as

How is time calculated? Is it actual hours in a day or actually calculated when a dyno is serving something? For example if the app sits idle for a couple hours a day would it still server content for 24hours?

I'm not that familiar with dynos but I can see how people would need even more than 2.5gb for specific jobs. We push the limits of servers with 512gb of RAM regularly.
