Yeah... The whole try/except "in case it throws" without an understanding of IF it should and WHY it might is a huge anti-pattern that creates more bugs down the line than it may potentially solve in the short-term. If it sho

In the test you described, I presume the beer has been poured into a glass, like the OP states they now do. If you skip this step, drinking out of a can can have a distinctly metallic taste (imagine that), which is why I -- and I imagine ma

This sucks. I loved Google Cloud Print. I've never had good luck configuring CUPS on Linux, and Google Cloud Print gave me a nice way to not have to deal with it.

I laughed. But perhaps instead for Hacker News to make `>` an actual formatting character?

I tried using a quote first, but the fact that you need to double-space between paragraphs, even when using the > symbol broke the formatting. To avoid spending too much time figuring it out, I switched to blockquote. Sorry!

A small correction... `git branch [branchname]` creates a branch without switching to it. `git checkout -b [branchname]` creates a branch and checks it out. And `git reset --hard` will also discard changes. (Arguably, this is better than `g
