All "celebration" is marketing. I'm not sure what Apple needs to do here short of handing you $50 cash or something.

I was expecting to see a Newton, and got an eMate 300 and a well-timed fake glitch in the audio. Seems apropos.

Don't forget that the mission planners figured out the "Grand Tour", calculating orbits and trajectories to slingshot around the Solar System. All with 1960s technology. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran

Is this how the whole "Bill Gates is putting 5G chips in the Covid vaccine" meme got started?

No, I wasn't using Chase checking accounts, which pay zero. I was using an actual "savings account" I own which is listing right now at 0.01% monthly. "Passbook" is the traditional term for these accounts.

The point is that it's more efficient for Americans to pay down debt right now instead of parking it in a savings account that is losing money to inflation. So you can't blame them for only having 11% of their assets in a zero-per

Remind me, again, what the average passbook interest rate is in the USA? I just checked my bank (Chase) and right now it's... 0.01%.

I'm keeping it there to remind me to stay defiant against the shittier UI. I'll wait until they can put it on a user switch or create a more readable option for older users. Which will probably be 'never'.

If DigiKey or Octopart had their act together they'd create a subscription service for $1/month or something like that and offer compiled maps for every part they carry.
