I'm going to guess "noone". This is not the first security hole like this caused by piping to mail. See CVE-2000-0703, a trivial local root via suidperl. Unfortunately backwards compatability often wins over prevention of fut

I enjoyed this episode. I knew about all the tests before, but what came clear in this interview is that Sqlite inc is using their tests as a unique way to keep contracts on Sqlite development flowing. Since they can test it so much better

I think a judge could be persuaded that a list of every known human does not constitute a valid attribution of the actual author, even though their name is on the list. The purpose of an attribution is to acknowledge the creator of the work

I keep my fridge on a porch, mostly for energy efficiency reasons but also to keep it out of living spaces. But when I am on the porch and the fridge starts to annoy me, I just ask it to pause running for an hour or so. Having control over

Regular old v1 UUIDs contain 60 bits of the system time and are sortable by it, all you need is a uuid library to extract that information from them. Eg, in haskell: ghci> sortOn Data.UUID.Util.extractTime (map (fromJust . Data.UUI

My first thought was `wdiff pdizer moderna`. It's short enough to post here in its entirity, but I guess I had better not, anyway it's easy enough to extract from the pdf. Add a space after every letter and wdiff can find the comm

If you feel that losing access to Github would mean the destruction of your professional life, I'd encourage you to take steps to prevent that corporation from being able to do that to you.

It's currently posssible to make a PR to the github dmca repo that merges youtube-dl, and so violate their TOS. When you make that PR, you do not transfer any of youtube-dl to github. Their repo already has those objects. So all you ha

It's worth looking at the C code that's generated from a simple blink example in haskell. It's not very idiomatic, but neither is it very slow. Much of the fluff should get optimised away by the C compiler. I've been gen
