> This textbox trim seems like a fix for badly made fonts That's not what it is. It's a typographic control that wasn't available in browsers before. It's got nothing to do with fonts being badly made. All textboxes (

Pretty sure he's the same one mentioned vying for president. His name showed up in the list when I visited the page. (I will always love the fact that a prominent politician in Iceland used to be in the Sugarcubes with Bjork.)

For a country whose population is just 399,189 (according to 2024 census), I don't think what you propose is necessary. Edit to add: I'm not sure if you added the "or pages" later or if I just missed it when replying, bu

Can you do that on webpages (which is what equinox.space is) without first pushing play or unmuting them? I know on youtube you have to unmute it first. I don't really go to any other music or video websites on my phone, so I'm no

What makes it "self-aware"? That was the main reason I clicked on the link but I didn't see that explained.

Not sure if you're arguing against language classes in kindergarten or languages classes in school in general, but I personally had a really good experience with French classes for several years in junior high and high school and one y

I believe this is for smart TVs where Roku is the TV's OS. So it's not dependent on the cable.

I love it. I've been thinking of generative art in the physical world somewhat along these lines for a while now but haven't actually gotten around to the "physical world" part of these dreams yet. Mostly just been havin

I immediately thought the same and figured I just got one that looked kind of like that to start of with, and reloaded and reloaded and reloaded and was so pleased when I just kept getting ones that looked like Home Movies. Because of that,

Huh. Weird. I've had my sennheisers for years, through multiple OS updates, and I've always been surprised by just how well using them works on my macbook pro. Until this thread, I had never even heard of the problem.

I strongly disagree re:Apple software. We must have drastically different usage scenarios, since I find it a pleasure. What software do you have issue with, and why?

To be fair, Apple isn't killing Epic's business by denying them to bypass the app store, or even by kicking them off the app store. Epic's doing just fine without apple.

Why is that BS? It's true. It's not the only use of an emulator, but it's the primary use.

I might be misinterpreting the aesthetic you're talking about, but I think it was similar to (and probably directly inspired by) the graphic design that The Designers Republic was doing in the 90's (think the Wipeout videogame). T

Indeed. The calendar app really is doing the heavy lifting in their case, not the txt file. I can kind of understand the author not really registering just how much the calendar app does for their organization, since calendar apps are so ub
