Very cool to see this pop up. I think a hosted service for validating an idea could be very useful for many, especially the non-technical founders who could then get some better validated traction to share with a potential technical co-foun

We certainly see some confusion from the "app" in our domain. We think of our name as "Buffer" rather than "Buffer app". So I think "an open source Buffer" would make a lot of sense, and might remove this confusion of whether it's something

Great question, I know we can cause confusion with our crazy journey :-) We started in the UK, and then we spent 6 months in SF where we raised our funding. After that, we didn't manage to obtain visas and that's what sent us travelling (ra

This is very cool to hear, and an awesome idea, thanks gjulianm and wamatt. Also thanks for the feedback on Facebook lists (I want to be able to post to lists and also groups too!). I'll definitely have a think about how this could work. We

That's a great question. To be quite honest, we weren't sure where we stood when we saw the changes come out. Fortunately, Twitter have been amazing to us and we have great communication with them. We've learned that we fit into the area of

I don't claim OnePage was a success by any means, in fact in many of my other articles I use OnePage as a reference to countless mistakes and learning which helped me with Buffer. One thing I would say, however, is that the reason OnePage d

Uh oh. Is this the case for others too? Actually, I even have trouble myself at times. Maybe I should migrate the blog to WordPress..?

Hi Jose! We're not specifically looking for an Android developer anymore, as we've decided not to focus on our Android app for a few months. However, we're certainly still on the lookout for awesome Android developers so please get in touch

Thanks so much for this, it's definitely something I need to improve on. My aim with the post was to be extremely detailed, in order to try and emphasise how many different aspects have become habitual. Clearly, the way I ended up being det

Haha! Totally understand it can come across that way. The point I was trying to make, which I've clearly not succeeded with, is that I don't actually plan it as it happens, and I don't think individually of all these details as I do them. I

Absolutely! I have an evening routine, and it's key to achieving the morning routine. I need 7-8 hours of sleep or I'll burn out within a few days and fail with the routine one morning. I'm still following it pretty much how I describe in t

This is exactly the case. I didn't sit down and decide that I would do the routine exactly as I have it in place right now, that developed over time. I started simply with an exercise habit. Over time, I've been able to build on it as each

I wrote a post last year on my sleep ritual, this is actually a key part of me being able to do the morning routine. I'm still following it almost identically to how I describe in the article: http://joel.is/post/5303723252/creating-a-slee
