That might be more the fault of the advertisers than Amazon. Amazon knows what books you will like with a high degree of certainty, but they don't always have ads available that are a close match, and some advertisers set their targeti

I also use Bitbucket and am very pleased with it. It seems like their model is that bitbucket is well integrated and complements their paid products like JIRA and Teamcity, so they are not depending on free users to upgrade like github need

As a mobile dev, this article kind of irritates me. It seems like the author is trying to shift his responsibilities to the client or designer. Here some tips: - wireframe first. At least on a whiteboard. Build the interface with stock or u

CUDA sounds like the kind of "heterogeneous" model the author is suggesting. Unfortunately it has it's own set of problems. I'm not really sure what kind of API the author wants. Sure, it's annoying that data in GPU

They've done a pretty good job automating the provisioning stuff. It still can be annoying to debug when it doesn't work, but for an individual or a small team it's pretty seamless these days. I will agree with you about the

Yes, you'd have to implement the drawing and input handling code but this seems like it would be a good fit. You need to implement a fair number of drawing primitives, but certainly less work than a whole GUI.

Static linking is "easy" on any particular platform for a particular target. But build systems and IDE and all that junk make things more complicated. You might want to build the library with the same flags as your main app, for e

You can do the aggregation locally on the device. You wouldn't want to send every page view as an immediate event, just send the aggregates every 15 minutes or at the start or end of each session.

Isn't this based on Atom (or at least similar design)? It really makes me sad that people are making editors with so many features and nice things, but ignoring the fundamentals like latency. https://pavelfatin.com/typi

No, I've plugged in custom allocators into codebases that had millions of lines of C (and even C++). Very few functions in the C stdlib allocate memory. Most that do (like strdup) are convenience wrappers. Most decent 3rd party librari
