What I don't understand is why the US government would point fingers at the Chinese for putting backdoors in Huawei devices when it was really the NSA all along. It seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot by giving poin

Facebook has made some good purchases that align with their overall strategy, but I definitely don't see how this fits. And why would Oculus sell to them?! It makes no sense. Google, Apple, Microsoft, Sony... The list of better techn

That's a great point. They only looked at the last 25 years, but I bet the story is different in the late 70s and early 80s when interest rates were significantly higher.

"Even as Washington grapples with the diplomatic and political fallout of Mr. Snowden’s leaks ..." That statement is a perfect example of the real problem with the US government and many journalists. They don't see the act

The stated reason for going to Mars is to create a backup population for humanity. If a major asteroid impacts earth (or any other Extinction Level Event) then potentially every human will be as dead as those killed by Polio.

Looking at the parts list I see the largest cost is the 2x 40-port SATA cards (aside from the drives). I wonder why they didn't decide to reduce the number of drives to 40 so they could just use one SATA card and save $688?

I would be very surprised if Keynote '09' would even run in Mavericks. When I upgraded to Lion a couple years back I couldn't use any of the iWork suite that came with the computer. Fortunately I had only made a couple throw

At first I laughed at the government getting scammed by Sprint, but then I realized I'm paying for the scam (and now lawyer fees) with my taxes. /sigh No matter who wins this one, everyone (in the US) loses.
