Also, if society does not shun bad actors, how would we not degenerate rapidly? So bringing your park example to extreme: someone murders, is bad, but vilifying him would still be worse? I'll leave you with a quote from Batman: "c

With the park and a plaque the ratio of good (park) to a I guess dopamine boost (plaque) is decidedly in favor of the good, orders of magnitude better. Let alone that the plaque is often in memory of someone close to the one making the dona

I find a very stark contrast between this discussion and the one on dominos couple of days ago [0]. There most people thought it was all well and good to spend 50M to advertise a 100k kindness. This is just business. Here people (IMO correc

I had to chew through quite a few of those rus books in school, read Dostoyevsky again later. Quite enjoyed Bulgakov. But still most of the big names convey rus greatness and how suffering for the czar is honorable. Also nice ad hominem, we

You don’t pay for watching propaganda, yet it influences. Some of the rus authors have had a significant role in shaping the current rus culture and imperialism. The same that thinks it’s alright to murder, loot, rape and pillage. So I’d st

In politics the BATNA will be different as there are real costs (like some bad, faith, actor is going to tell you what you can or cannot do with your own body).

Yea, also I’ve come to understand that in a loaded, bad faith or ideological discussion there is no useful outcome and it makes sense to BATNA the shit out of it, usually in the form of not engaging or just walking away.

I recently read the Serhii Plokhy book Atoms and Ashes, where he discusses 6 most notable nuclear accidents in depth. And his conclusion was pretty grim. Paraphrasing: If we bet on nuclear for mitigation of climate change, it is inevitable

Most chargers have Dynamic Load Management readyness where they have a Modbus power meter at your main circuit breaker and makes sure the charger only uses available power. So you can switch on your oven and car will automatically back off.

I don't get what you are saying. You have 3x40A. Your biggest user is occasional 3x25A. So you have 3x15A available almost all the time. 3x16A is 11kW, you can tell your car or charger to go no more than 3x13A or 3x10A or whatever, thi
