Personally I hear "someday it will turn into a project" all the time. More times than not it never does. Nonetheless, I'm actually ok if someone doesn't have an extensive github (or any for that matter) on an interview,

Really now? As if these guys get paid to do create and fix scalaz all day right? Like Oracle yeah? This is the story about every single open source project. You can choose something else, wait it out for documentation, or contribute it. Luc

That is extreme. If there is an alternative organic I buy it. This is good enough for me and I also buy a lot from my local organic farmer. I don't have to go to the extremes you mention, at all. When I walk into a super market I just want

+1 For me I just want choice (at the super-market). Choice to not choose GMO, until there is more than enough evidence and discussion around the topic. Maybe you feel there is enough evidence, but I want more. I do not want said firm to 'fo

With random allocation you need good entropy and distribution must be very uniform, otherwise you get the dyno issue we saw with heroku. I think random would still be blind to various jobs, where even the smallest of timing optimization wou

I got so much flack for suggesting a year ago on a repo. The 'maintainer' came back with the point that he/she gave commit access to everyone-ish. The problem with that is you will get very aggressive individuals who will commit, and then o

I originally wanted to buy new SimCity but thank good ness I didn't. It wasn't until now that I see how chock full of 'DRM' it has. Someone should kickstart(er) a SimCity 'like' game the way it was _meant_ to be.

I too believe it's an important issue. One that will hopefully spur enthusiasm of a few to come up with solutions.

I think there can never be enough D3 tuts, added this to my bookmark list. I really enjoy the wide variety of data representations possible with D3. Wonder what other good tuts are out there?

The maximist point of view is to wrap sed, yes. But what also came to my mind was what if he/she just wanted to only learn, I can think of no better way than to try to write it 'yourself' in the language of your choice, if only as a learnin

But that is kind of the point. These startups scale from the get-go. They will want to reach outside of their initial markets soon. It is not just feature set, but forward scaling vision with that feature set. Most multi-national banks have

Speed. Rice cooker, some veggies and/or meat, water, lots of spice, wait 30min and you have a huge pot of soup piping hot ready to eat. Not just hot, but all the veggies or meat is thoroughly tender like it 'was' cooked in a crock pot. Only
